Moving Day

Writing can be a hobby, or a passion. I’ve found it to be both. Writing is expression, perhaps in its truest form.

I was introduced to the concept of blogging about 4 years ago, and haven’t stopped since. For me, it’s the on again-off again relationship that stands the test of time. The good ole’ blogosphere is always there whenever the urge to write strikes. The network of friends, the discussion, the feedback…well, that’s just a bonus.

Searching for a place to blog is not much different than finding a new apartment, just without the U-Haul and security deposit. But you find a place that works, at least until it’s time to move again.

And that’s me, here in my new blog of an apartment. Can’t beat the rent, and so far the neighbors aren’t too noisy.

I have no idea how much time I’ll be spending here, or how long I’ll stay. But I’m reserving the space to write about anything that sparks my interest, at a frequency yet to be determined.

Here’s to moving…blog on!

  1. I think I'm on board with your concept of it not always having to be about sports.
I may want to write about smacking myself in the stones while moving a tree over the weekend(stupid horse fly)
Or maybe that it's ok to wear socks with sandals before the age of 68, nothing wrong with comfort.

Point is that we don't have to pigeon hole it into one category. I may even want to throw an "Ode to the Twinkie" in with a "Human League" tribute.

Like Bobby Brown "Whitney you crazy bitch where's my crack" and "That's my prerogative"

That image at the top is pretty cool, is that an artist conception of a chunky snake bite passing through the colon?

  2. To answer your question about the image...you are correct about the artist's rendering. The piece is titled "The Fire Within", by Phillip DeBole.

See, an open realm of blog topics...and already we're having a discussion over fine art.

I'm thinking you could develop that Ode to the Twinkie into a complete Hostess Snack series. Thou shalt honor the ho-ho.

  3. So what the hell was MacNabby saying to Little Favre after the game?

  4. I wondered the same thing, that was quite a long speech. My guess is that since McNabb is a Chicago native, he was either suggesting local pizza parlors...or telling him the best place to get some Southside Salmon.
